Who are we hiring?
This position is responsible for supporting the management of various MSG insurance programs across all entities. Services provided include: (1) application preparation (and collection/synthesis of data); (2) management of global production insurance requirements and compliance; (3) collection and analysis of exposure information necessary to implement or renew insurance programs; (4) data-driven analysis of insurance programs and losses; (5) issuance of certificates of insurance for MSG programs;(6) review third- party Certificates for contract compliance; and (7) manage carrier and TPA databases. Position will provide other services as reasonably requested.
What will you do?
- Manage assigned insurance programs by ensuring applications, claims, and information requests are prepared and responded to in a timely fashion, managing related broker support networks and other third-party resources as may be necessary.
- Assist Risk Management team in management and support of other insurance programs as needed by researching and developing exposure and loss data, preparation of insurance applications, marketing and purchasing data for key programs. Monitor and review MSG insurance invoices and other insurance programs as needed, facilitating payment of invoices, and assisting in resolution of potential accounting issues.
- Review contracts and provide Certificates of Insurance for MSG insurance programs as required.
- Review third-party contracts and certificates of insurance for compliance.
- Utilize risk and claims databases and software programs to develop information needed to help identify root cause for losses and analyze cost of risk.
- Prepare management reports, loss runs and presentations.
What do you need to succeed?
Key Experiences/Achievements
- 5-6 years’ experience in the insurance industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management or Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- Ability to interface successfully and work closely with multiple levels of internal and external management
- Ability to obtain, analyze and compile critical risk exposure/claims information from multiple sources to complete applications and develop reports based on information
- Ability to understand and successfully work on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines at the same time
- Ability to learn and understand new insurance or other risk transfer programs and data systems
- Experience working on global insurance programs or film production related insurance programs
Technical/Functional Competencies
- Knowledge of insurance program mechanics
- Working knowledge of third-party claims management data systems
- Solid knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint including ability to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Ability to recognize opportunities and solutions to streamline or automate administrative workflows
