Who are we hiring?  

The Director, Technical Accounting, will manage the end-to-end accounting for complex revenue arrangements, including reviewing agreements, evaluating revenue recognition policies and procedures, developing processes to ensure appropriate recognition, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the completeness and accuracy of revenue recognized. This role serves as a key resource in assessing the accounting treatment of new and evolving revenue transactions across the Company's operations. 

In addition to its significant revenue accounting focus, this role encompasses a broad range of technical accounting areas, such as the research, evaluation, and documentation of current and emerging accounting issues, asset capitalization, asset impairment assessments, leasing transactions, business combinations (including consolidation considerations), and financial reporting matters such as segment reporting. This role will also act as the primary contact for evaluating new accounting standards and pronouncements, assessing their impact on the Company's financial statements, business processes, and related internal controls over financial reporting. 

What will you do?  

  • Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process for complex revenue arrangements including coordinating with relevant stakeholders, including, operations, finance, information technology, and third-party service providers to facilitate appropriate revenue recognition and financial statements disclosure. 
  • Design and refine processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in revenue recognition for complex arrangements. 
  • Stay abreast of the Company's operations to identify and evaluate new revenue transactions, determining appropriate accounting treatment and communicating impacts to relevant parties. 
  • Research, analyze and document all significant technical accounting matters. 
  • Manage specific elements of the Company's quarterly and annual financial statements, including accounting policies, new pronouncements, and disclosures related to significant or technical accounting matters. 
  • Act as an advisor to executives, providing guidance on technical accounting questions that may arise. 
  • Establish new accounting policies and assess existing ones, revising as necessary. 
  • Evaluate new accounting standards and pronouncements, developing and implementing adoption plans that address their impact on the Company's financial statements, business processes, and related internal controls. 
  • Perform the Company's annual impairment analysis for both goodwill and intangible assets. 
  • Collaborate with the Company's external auditors regarding significant technical accounting matters. 
  • Support additional projects as needed. 
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

 

What do you need to succeed?  

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. 
  • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably a mix of Big 4 public accounting and accounting in private industry. 
  • Experience in revenue accounting, including review of technical accounting for significant revenue contracts. 
  • Active CPA license (required). 
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Pay Range
$113,000$180,000 USD
