Who are we hiring?

During Arena events, the Wait Staff provides beverage service to guests at tables and assists with any food or general event related guest inquiries.  This individual exhibits a warm, friendly and professional demeanor at all times to further enhance the guest experience.

What will you do?

  • Set up club space prior to event and maintain cleanliness of space during event to include re-setting tables and stations as required
  • Take accurate beverage order and deliver beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests
  • Address any guest questions or concerns, escalating to Supervisor as needed
  • Adhere to Department of Health food handling regulations and Company’s alcohol service guidelines
  • Wait Staff will also be assigned to work in The Lounges and The Loft. During non-club events, Wait Staff may be assigned to work in Catering.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and for serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous and accurate manner
  • Responsible for checking identification of guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages
  • Able to walk and stand during the entire shift and assisting with set up of the dining room and other work areas
  • Maintains the cleanliness of assigned work area and assist with all guest service functions

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum of 2 years Food & Beverage experience in a front of house role
  • Food & Beverage product knowledge; Proper knowledge of New York State Board of Health Food and alcohol handling rules a plus
  • Work well under pressure and have a professional appearance and demeanor.  This person must have good communication skills, a commitment to high-quality customer service and be able to handle the high-pressure environment
  • Prior wait staff experience required.
  • Proven ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively
  • Commitment to guest service and ability to handle a high-energy environment
  • Experience using POS system
  • Available to work flexible hours
  • TEAM Certification a plus

Special Requirements

  • Able to walk and stand during the entire shift
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
  • This position works nights, weekends and holidays.

Hourly Pay Range
$20.60$20.60 USD
