ROLE SUMMARY:
The Extra Laborer is responsible for physically lifting heavy inventory for an arena floor construction. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Specific Functions/Activities SUMMARY:
- Reporting to their schedule shifts on time and in uniform.
- Physically lifting heavy equipment for arena event changeovers.
- Picking, sweeping, mopping and detailing all forms of arena bowl cleaning.
- Extra Laborers are also specifically responsible for moving trash, handling basketball court, sports floor, portable chairs, hockey glass and hockey dash.
- Operating forklifts and pallet jacks (both powered and non-powered).
- They are also required to maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment.
- Extra Laborers should have prior experience working with tools and must be able to learn several tasks including rigging and the use of snow removal equipment.

- A high level of energy and commitment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Follow our safety guidelines and procedures.
- Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
- Must possess the ability to work with various operating groups.
- Must have a positive attitude and good team work ethic.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
- This position includes heavy lifting and cleaning.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends.
- Typical shift hours are 11pm-7am; scheduling and amount of hours can vary based on the needs of the business.
Please note this is a Seasonal Event driven role:
- During peak season (October – April) we schedule associates an average of 3-4 nights a week.
- In the off season (May- September) associates are scheduled on an average of 0-2 nights per week, based on the needs of the business and employee availability
- Employee schedules are performance based
