Who are we hiring?
This position is responsible for the performance and occasional oversight of maintenance performed on MSG operated and/or controlled fixed wing aircraft. The incumbent is responsible to the DOM to ensure the aircraft are airworthy and flight ready as required by FAR’s and CMP Due Lists. This position will manage and lead the maintenance functions for fixed wing aircraft operated/controlled by MSG to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of assigned aircraft.
What will you do?
- Works within MSG Aviation to maintain a culture of safety with efficient procedures that support dispatch reliability.
- Performs all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all MSG Aviation operated aircraft in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Responsible for supporting aircraft departures and arrivals
- Responsible for accurate and timely troubleshooting of aircraft squawks
- Responsible for securing and supervision of the potential contract laborers and mentorship of internal Junior Aircraft Technician
- Complies with all SOPs and FAA Regulations
- Ensures accurate and timely logbook and CMP entries.
- Oversees and ensures the timely acquisition of required aircraft parts and services
- Assists other Crew Chiefs on other MSG owned or managed aircraft as assigned by the DOM.
- Assists the DOM with analysis of operating results, budget planning and reporting, as well as the preparation of other reports as requested.
- Maintains the highest levels of personal integrity, honesty and professionalism.

- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
- Three (3) years of relevant fixed wing maintenance experience combined with three (3) years ground operations (launch and recovery of aircraft)
- Experience with Gulfstream aircrafts, specifically G550s and/or G650s a big plus
- Possess an FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Maintains a track record of success and be in good standing with the FAA and other regulatory agencies.
- Has attended an initial OEM approved maintenance training program on at least a Gulfstream 550 (G550) and/or a Gulfstream 650ER (G650)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated Team Player.
- Functions in an organized manner while remaining calm and composed under pressure.
- Demonstrates capabilities of managing competing priorities with positive, solution oriented, “Can Do” attitude.
- Demonstrates effective troubleshooting with in-depth technical knowledge.
- Leverages technical expertise along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates advanced proficiency with maintenance tracking suites, Microsoft Office applications and other technical systems
- Able to accommodate schedule fluctuations driven by dynamic organizational requirements.
- Preferred licenses: FCC GROL, Satcom Direct aeroIT, & NCATT AET
Special Requirements
- Travel as required
- Must be able to lift baggage overhead, lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to walk/stand for at least 7 hours per day
- Bending and constant motion is often required
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule
- Holds a valid driver’s license, Passport with the ability to obtain an airport access badge and airport-driving privileges.
