Who are we hiring?

The Director Identity & Access Management is the leader of the organization responsible for ensuring the health, safety and viability of all logical administrative systems. This key leader will be viewed as the subject matter expert and driver of technology platforms related to Active Directory, Universal Directory, Identity Management Systems, Email, Collaboration Systems and Technology audit. This well-versed technologist should be forward thinking in the use of cloud services and SaaS applications in creating a diverse portfolio of capabilities flexible to the ever-changing needs of the business. They must have a keen understanding of security best practices to ensure that all systems are compliant with company standards and policies. Lastly, this unique individual must have past experience engineering and deploying scalable platforms that are resilient to system effects in a zero-defect live entertainment environment where outages and service interruptions are almost always revenue impacting. 

What will you do?

  • Responsible for the systems administration function(s) across a diverse group of platforms including Office365, Teams, Active Directory, Okta and SaaS applications.
  • Define, design and modernize all system IdP’s and shift the company from legacy directory services to modern universal services hosted in the cloud.
  • Defines the roadmap and technology adaptation plan for emerging collaboration tools and services including Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Slack. 
  • In collaboration with the Network Engineering team, supports the enterprise DNS, naming and IP management systems. Ensures that all platforms are modern and compliant with operating and security standards.
  • Maintains and administers all identity management tools and platforms.
  • Works closely with third party service providers such as Microsoft and Okta to ensure that MSG is maximizing its investments in SaaS offerings.
  • Creates and distributes health and status dashboards and data reports reflecting the health of the environment.
  • Maintains the health and security of file services and platforms such as SharePoint and Box.
  • Works closely with MSG Audit and Risk/Compliance teams to satisfy data gathering and reporting requirements.
  • Perform other broad duties as needed/directed to accomplish the overall Technology mission at MSG.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required and associated professional certifications preferred 

  • Advanced knowledge of directory services and systems such as Active Directory and Okta.  Can thoughtfully articulate the benefits and engineering principles of deploying such services.
  • Strong expertise in collaboration systems and platforms such as Microsoft Exchange/Office365, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
  • 5-7 years’ experience working with Cloud hosted and SaaS services such as Azure, AWS, Office365.
  • Expert level knowledge of PowerShell scripting and principles – can drive the innovative application of automation into operations and tasks.
  • 8+ years of domain services experience with DNS, DHCP, IP Management, Authentication/Authorization and domain management.
  • Experience working with and through audit engagements and reporting exercises.
  • 7+ years of experience with company mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Working knowledge of security principles as it pertains to cloud environments.

Pay Range
$134,000$225,000 USD
