Who are we hiring?

The Manager, Premium Food & Beverage Operations is accountable for the overall suites-related operational management of Premium Food & Beverage outlets and events. He/she ensures an exceptional guest experience by driving performance of supervisors and front-line team. The manager collaborates across functions to achieve business results and reacts as needed within a fast paced and dynamic environment. Success in this role is demonstrated by an exceptional customer experience, a commitment to the engagement and development of team, and achievement of business results. The Manager, Premium Food & Beverage Operations reports to the Director, Premium Food & Beverage Operations.

What will you do:

  • Sets direction for supervisory team and front-line staff to ensure the consistency of guest experience within our suites division and all F&B products in premium F&B outlets; oversees complete event-related operations of designated areas including supervision of non-F&B event-related staff.
  • Tracks sales trends and recommends adjustments to maximize departmental profitability and keep F&B offerings current; proactively identifies and implements solutions to departmental challenges; responds to service breakdowns immediately
  • Coordinates daily labor activities ensures proper staffing levels are in place, assigns scheduled employees and manages breaks to foster a seamless delivery of service.
  • Maintains physical inventory of food, beverage and disposable products and implements systems to mitigate waste and monitor costs; inputs inventory counts and reviews with Finance on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborates with other departments to execute departmental and organizational initiatives and compliance with city and state regulations.
  • Completes and submits payroll accurately and according to Company-specified guidelines and deadlines.
  • Liaison between Premium Services division and the operation on all Suites levels.
  • Partners on the full-cycle recruitment, hiring and development of supervisors and front-line staff by conducting interviews, selecting candidates for hire, onboarding, providing continuous feedback and identifying on-going training and development opportunities in an effort to leverage talent.
  • Conducts periodic meetings with supervisors and team leads covering Department of Health (DOH) guidelines, cleanliness initiatives, service and product changes and Company-wide communications.
  • Maintains a high level of integrity and role models a positive attitude and adherence to all Company objectives and goals; ensures that all team members are engaged, upbeat, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Supervision of Premium F&B Operations Supervisors.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5-8 years of Food & Beverage management experience, to include oversight of fine dining and catering/suites within an entertainment venue or hotel.
  • Candidates who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS), purchasing and inventory systems. Proficiency in Infogenesis, or comparable POS software preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets and resource allocations.
  • Successful track record measuring customer satisfaction and loyalty and recommending/ tracking improvements.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and to build collaborative relationships that motivate and encourage performance even without direct reporting relationship.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with all levels in the organization in a variety of settings and group sizes.
  • Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing staff and ability to monitor performance and to hold team accountable for outcomes.
  • Proactive self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple tasks while under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable employing sound business judgement to manage conflict and resolve guest concerns with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience within Sports & Entertainment, Suites, theater operations or event planning is preferred.
  • Experience managing union staff preferred.

 

Special Requirements

  • NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Food Protection Certificate
  • Lifting 25 lbs., standing for long periods and walking long distances.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holiday, and split days off; willing to travel to other venues as needed.

Pay Range
$83,000$115,000 USD
