Josephine Vaccarello

As Executive Vice President, Live, for Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) Josephine Vaccarello leads the live entertainment bookings business – which encompasses concerts, family shows, comedy, performing arts, and special events – across the Company’s renowned performance venues. This portfolio includes New York’s Madison Square Garden, The Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and Beacon Theatre; and The Chicago Theatre. In her role, Ms. Vaccarello focuses on optimizing the use of MSG Entertainment’s venues and developing strategies that maximize growth by introducing new signature events, conceptualizing artist residencies, and delivering unique experiences for artists and fans. Ms. Vaccarello is also responsible for booking concert residencies and touring acts at Sphere, a next-generation entertainment medium. Sphere is part of Sphere Entertainment Co., which became a standalone public company in April 2023 with the spin-off of MSG Entertainment. The first Sphere venue opened in Las Vegas in September 2023. 

Ms. Vaccarello’s career with MSG spans over 25 years in roles of increasing responsibility. In her most recent leadership roles, she has been responsible for booking concerts, comedy, all family entertainment and theatrical properties, and special events, in addition to overseeing the Live division’s business strategy. She has overseen strategies and business operations that helped drive growth, and been instrumental in bringing some of the most important and impactful residencies and shows to MSG Entertainment’s venues. This includes: Billy Joel’s franchise run at Madison Square Garden that concluded with Joel’s 150th lifetime performance; the transformation of MSG into “Harry’s House” for 15 nights of Harry Styles; Phish’s annual New Year’s Eve run and The Baker’s Dozen residency; Tedeschi Trucks Band’s multi-year, dual-city residency at The Beacon and The Chicago Theatre; Jerry Seinfeld’s Beacon Theatre residency; among many others. Throughout her tenure as a leader at MSG Entertainment, the Company’s venues have consistently ranked among the top venues in the world by industry-leading trade publications Billboard and Pollstar. Ms. Vaccarello was also named Venue Executive of the Year at the 2023 Pollstar Awards.
